James Riddell

James is an undergraduate at the University of California - San Diego. His knack for teaching has led him to dedicate much of his life to the education of young people. He enjoys creating original activities to help students better grasp abstract ideas. In college, he hopes to continue to coach academic games and regularly attend the National Tournament each year. James’s deep passion for the ocean and the sciences surrounding it have drawn him to the west coast where he will study Marine Biology.
When he isn’t teaching or spouting off fun facts about whales, James can often be found glowsticking at raves or SCUBA diving in the tropics. James loves to to push boundaries and break expectations by continuing to learn new skills each year like breakdancing and color guard. James plans on shaping his career around his love for teaching and desire to explore the ocean. He fulfilled one of his dreams by attending school on the west coast.
