2018 INNO SUMMER INSTITUTE

History of Money

Course Description

In this course, students will connect world history and economics through the universal concept of money. The first week will focus on laying the foundations of what money is and how it has played an integral role in shaping human society, and in the second week will tackle the essentials of economics and game theory.

Learning will be almost entirely through discussion and activities like specially designed games and simulations created by the curriculum leaders. By the end of the course, students will be adept at analyzing historical events through an economic lens and possess the capability to explain significant transitions in our human history.
