Business and Entrepreneurship
Course Description
Throughout history, the concepts of business and entrepreneurship have had a continuous impact on the world’s society and economy. In this course, your student will establish a solid understanding of these concepts, and learn what it takes to apply them in real-world situations. Students will explore the mysterious idea of cryptocurrency, have case discussions about successful and unsuccessful businesses, and learn the best ways to play the stock market. Using the concepts covered throughout the course, students will engage in a cumulative “start your own business” project, and present their ideas to counselors in a manner similar to the popular TV show Shark Tank. Business and Entrepreneurship aims to equip students with the ability to think creatively when exploring unfamiliar material, and provide them with a new perspective on the conventionally vague concepts of a “business” and an “entrepreneur”.
