Mythology in the World

Course Description

In this course, we’ll travel the globe and uncover the secrets behind the mythologies of the world. From Hades’ depths of the underworld to the nine worlds of Asgard to the Japanese kami,  we’ll learn the stories of great heroes, the gods, and monsters & beasts in ancient and modern cultures. Come along with us as we explore fascinating and often overlooked mythological sagas.

Day 1: Greek and Roman Parallels 
Day 2: Asia - Japanese
Day 3: Egyptian, Arabian, and West African
Day 4: Norse Mythology + Indigenous Connections 
Day 5: Native American Mythology

Day 6: Australian and Polynesian Folklore

Day 7: Indigenous South American Mythology
Day 8: Museum Walk Through
Day 9: Mythological Comic Book
Day 10: Review Day
