2020 INNO SUMMER INSTITUTE

Physics in the World

Course Description

As physicists, we will explore how the fields of science, math, and engineering intertwine. Students will get to experiment to find out why things behave the way they do. In week one, the focus will be on kinematics and energy, accumulating into the building of simple machines. Over the course of the second week, students will explore the way magnetism and electricity work. While formulas will be discussed, the learning will be predominantly about concepts through hands on projects and tons of building. Finally, students will use what they have learned to make a giant Rube Goldberg machine!
