Addie is currently a junior at Huron High School. She enjoys studying music, French, art, and English, and likes exploring how they all navigate the human experience. Addie also likes math and science, but does not plan to pursue them professionally. Outside of school, Addie really does not do much outside of orchestra; she plays the double bass in the Michigan Youth Symphony Orchestra, and in a Baroque period group in the summer months. She also got her first job this past summer and was a lifeguard.
In her free time, Addie loves to read, her favorite genre being adventure. Her current favorite book is Hagseed by Margaret Atwood. She also loves to draw, go to the movies with friends, and listen to NPR. When she grows up, Addie wants to go to music school and become a musician. However, she also listened to a story on This American Life that made her think about becoming a journalist. Either way, she does not know where she is going to university. She hopes education is a part of whatever she chooses to do.
