Road to Power
Course Description
Hussein, Mandela, Merkel, and Stalin.
How did they rise to power? What makes them unforgettable through the course of history? From the intense cadences of Stalin to the cooperative demeanor of Merkel, students will analyze the rise, the reign, and the rhetoric behind each leader’s captaincy. By examining how these individuals traveled from their unique backgrounds to the world’s center stage, students will recognize how public figures win over the minds of the masses for their political advantage. This course will culminate in a research project where students will utilize knowledge and skills gained from the course to objectively analyze the political success of President Donald Trump.
