2018 INNO SUMMER INSTITUTE

Performing Arts

Course Description

There’s a lot more to theater than just acting! In this course, campers will explore the fundamentals of theater through hands-on tech demonstrations, interactive history lessons, and hilarious drama games, all while participating in daily acting warm-ups and putting together students skits to perform at the end of the two-week camp. This class will stretch campers’ imaginations across time and space as they examine theater from locales such as ancient Greece, Elizabethan England, and modern-day China. Campers will also learn practical theater skills and put them to use building sets, designing costumes, and blocking skits. Fun acting activities and games will help campers develop lifelong strategies for thoughtful speaking and public expression.
