Course Description
What does it take to turn an idea into a thriving business? In Business and Entrepreneurship, students will explore the foundational principles of business and what it means to be an entrepreneur in today’s ever-changing world. Through a mix of history, theory, and practical application, we will analyze key concepts such as market research, financial literacy, and marketing strategies, while also delving into modern phenomena like cryptocurrency and the stock market. Along the way, students will examine case studies of successful (and not-so-successful) businesses, gaining insights into what works and what doesn’t. The course culminates in a hands-on challenge: working in teams to develop and pitch a business plan, drawing inspiration from the hit show Shark Tank. Business and Entrepreneurship empowers students to think critically, solve problems creatively, and approach the business world with confidence and innovation.
