Letter of Endorsement from Jeffrey Gaynor
After a full vetting, I endorse this summer's INNO camp with enthusiasm. The most important factor of any camp is the staff, and I was fortunate to have had about half of these students when I taught at Clague Middle School, many for two classes, and some for two years. These are among the brightest and most motivated students, and ones who show all the qualities of responsible and caring leaders. I trust they selected their equals to work alongside them.
I had many questions as to their readiness to lead a camp, with all of the complex problems that may potentially arise. The program website anticipated each of them, and in talking to Kevin and others involved, I'm satisfied that they are prepared to have a safe and successful camp experience for interested middle school students. I said that it is likely that not all will go exactly as planned - teaching never does. I am convinced they understand this, and believe their motivation and expectations are high, yet flexible, enough to make the camp a positive experience.
